About Host

Noof Aljneibi
A graduate of the United Arab Emirates University, and current Director at the Emirates Center for Happiness Research, Noof Aljneibi received her Master’s in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Since then, she has worked with various governmental entities to design and execute strategies in order to promote well-being at the workplace, and is driven to impart essential techniques and knowledge to help build a culture that appreciates well-being, whether you are a team member, team leader, or business owner.
Course Outline

You come to work early in the morning with your cup of coffee, raring to go. Greeting your coworkers, everyone is smiling, all seem excited for work. You have all the tools and resources to perform your work; your team and your leader believes in your ability. This is a place that helps you to learn and grow. Importantly, this is what a culture of wellness at work looks like.

Last week we discussed what well-being is, and importantly, what it looks like in the workplace. This week we will be talking about the linkage between the science of well-being and performance. Why is it important that every organization must take care of their employees' well-being? What have studies shown regarding performance and well-being; can you actually perform better if you're happier? Can you be more engaged if you are happier? What is the return on investment when implementing well-being strategies at the workplace? And how can you benefit from all of these findings?

Welcome to Week 3. This week we will explore how managing your stressors, and building a resilient mindset, can help you promote well-being in the workplace. When Covid-19 hit, it changed how we approach planning. But we can still be prepared for the unexpected.

Experts in emotional agility talk about the importance of acknowledging and labeling your emotions, so that you better understand them, the experience, and know how to manage them. This week we’ll focus on utilizing emotional intelligence at work.
