Gratitude is a very powerful, healing, and uplifting tool to use in life, especially if it is used as a daily habit. Research has shown that it can give us physical, emotional, and social benefits, including lower stress levels, improved relationships (with better social ties and deeper bonds), and a more positive outlook on life. It could also help us develop higher self-awareness, more compassion and empathy, and greater mindfulness.
As with most new skills, practicing gratitude may feel awkward or uncomfortable at first – but with time, it becomes easier, until it becomes second nature. Why not make it a daily ritual, tying it to part of your morning or bedtime routine?
This meditation is suitable for all levels and is most effective when practiced regularly.
